Every day I show up to participate in this life!

A couple of days ago someone (rraspberry  I think) asked me for a biscotti recipe.  Well I have posted a very yummy looking Cranberry Hazelnut Biscotti with Chocolate recipe over on chefhester and who wouldn't just love Biscotti with Chocolate?????

Sent Mr. H. to the store for some beer, herbed Goat Cheese, beer, Hazelnuts, beer, oranges, beer, a lemon, beer, Hershey's Kisses and some beer.  I'm pretty sure that he will come home with the beer, but really would like to be a fly on the wall watching him trying to locate the

  1. Herbed Goat Cheese
  2. Hazelnuts
  3. Beer - Hey, wait a minute, he definately knows where the beer is!

I haven't tried to make it yet but will probably try to "throw" it together later tonight and will post the pictures when I do.  Just wanted to pass on a little Biscotti Trivia

  • Biscotto means "cooked twice" in Italian and cooking it twice is where the texture comes from
  • They are perfect to dip in hot cup of coffee because their crunchy texture holds up to the liquid
  • They are low-fat and only 99 calories per serving
  • It was created in the region of Tuscany, Italy (add the country to help out the geographically challenged of us)
  • Because of their long storage ability they were perfect for saliors, soldiers and fishermen
  • Traditionally Biscotti were almond flavored
  • It is rumored that they started during Columbus' time

ENJOY!
