Very slowly I am splashing some color onto the extremely beige walls of this new house.  I am making it mine - kinda like a dog lifting his leg and pissing on something to mark his territory - I am marking my house.

Here are what the first marks look like:

This particular wall is the backside of the bar / island in the kitchen and there are a couple of barstools that sit here.  All the walls in this house are beige (or at least were) and with warm bodies sitting on the barstools - little feet and BIG feet  were kicking or bumping the walls and marking them up.  Now I totally advocate the Magic Eraser for removing tough marks off of the walls, or just blue markers that the 3 yr old decided to hold in her hand and drag down the length of the hallway wall, but just got tired of having to rid this particular wall of scuff marks almost every day so I decided to paint and since the bricks I painted in the old house were such a hit I decided that painting the wall to look like brick would help in hiding the kick marks.

This small of an area (as opposed to the several LARGE areas I painted in the old house) was rather fun and really only took me 2 days to finish.  Since I am a 'foodie' I found it rather interesting (after the fact) that the colors I choose to paint are called:  Chocolate (DUH!), Peanut Butter & Cream - all food colors and to top that off our cats names are Muffin & Oreo.

Me thinks someone has an obsession with food in this house!

Now if this doesn't work - I'm cutting their feet off!
