Son number 1, who is still struggling with his own demons, went AWOL on us the day after Christmas.  Who knew that if you voluntarily checked yourself into a mental hospital then you could voluntarily check yourself out?  Not I.  Someone picked him up as he doesn't have a car right now (having totalled two brand new Malibu's already) and we still don't know who that was.  But, there's no way of knowing what horrible story he told them, like maybe we thought he was crazy and had him committed.  Wish we had of, will have to look into that.  So we spent 3 days looking for him and he finally turned up on his own without any fresh cuts.  But I'm pretty sure that he was smoking pot while he was gone as I smelled it in his clothes when he came back.  He has been back to see his psychologist and once again we are going to change his meds and try some more therapy.

We are all leaving tonight to go to the farm (out in the boonies) and he will be riding with either myself or hubby.  We will be gone through Sunday and since it is so remote that most of the time we don't even have phone service, I won't be able to check out my favorite blogs persons until sometime Sunday night.

Hubby and I will be collecting all the keys to any means of transportaton, even the riding lawnmower, while we are down there and the front gate will be locked.  We have plenty of work to do, so maybe keeping him busy while we are there will keep his mind from wandering over to the dark side.  Lots of physical activity during the day should ensure that he sleeps at night and as our room is near the front door and the front door squeaks, hopefully he won't want to wander around at night.  Oh God, I hope we are doing the right thing.
