A rather interesting question poised by Mr. H last night regarding my trip to Alabama and the Meeting of some “Not Right” lady Mindsayers.  Hester’s brain started working overtime, could you smell the smoke all the way from Texas?  Could you actually see it???  No Mexico wasn’t on fire again – that was just little ole me thinking.

 

Hmmmmm - was it everything I thought it would be?

 

Well was it?

 

Both yes and no answers this question.  While I really wasn’t thinking about what they would be like I did have some pre-conceived notions.  Notions formed over the last year or so that I had been interacting with them both here and on Gus’s blog.  The stated mission of the trip was to help out with knapsacksofhope the real mission was to meet in person people I had fallen “in like” with over the internet.

 

Was I disappointed?  No I wasn’t disappointed but there were things about each of them that surprised me.  Just as I’m pretty sure there were unexpected things about me that they were surprised at.  I didn’t break a fingernail typing this cat, haven’t had a cigarette since I got back Trillian and for some strange reason snuggs I have a craving for Latte’s and kitty loving!

 

I would really like to get together with these three wonderful women again in the future.  The next time, though, I would like it to be in a little more relaxed setting (read not schlepping boxes or packing thousands of items into knapsacks).

 

I am definitely looking forward to meeting other people from Mindsayland that I interact with but next time I will erase the chalkboard titled “Pre-concieved” before I walk out the door.
